After seeing him in the first trailer for THE DESCENDANTS, I’ve been wondering why I haven’t seen more of Matthew Lillard. He’s been one of my favorite actors since I first saw him in SCREAM but it seemed like he never was in much following those SCOOBY DOO movies. After checking IMDB, I realized how wrong I was.
Lillard has been in several films after his appearance as Shaggy. I just think that he deserves to star opposite more people like George Clooney. So obviously I was happy to find out that Lillard is currently in negotiations to star opposite Clint Eastwood in TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE. Lillard would play a fellow baseball scout in the film.
TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE sets Eastwood as an aging scout coping with blindness, on a trip to Atlanta to evaluate a player. Amy Adams is on board to play the role of his daughter.
