Judging by the thousands of views the trailer has gotten since we posted it, it seems there is quite a bit of interest in the new MAX PAYNE game, which will be the third title in the series.
Rockstar has a history of producing hits from Grand Theft Auto to Red Dead Redemption to LA Noire, and its Payne series has a lot of fans and remains their only project with a movie adaptation.
Unfortunately, that film was sort of crap, no thanks to the miscasting of Mark Wahlberg and it just all around not being very good. As you’ll see in this trailer, the new game looks pretty fantastic, and I wouldn’t say it’s out of the question that we might see a MAX PAYNE movie sequel or reboot in the next few years, possibly drawing from this title depending on how big of a hit it is.
