McG’s The Babysitter invites a group of psychos to the club in new trailer

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Back in the day, I used to have a crush on my babysitter, Tracy. Tracy was the queen of horror film cinema. Whenever she would be tasked with watching me, she'd bring over her collection of R-rated flicks and allow me to choose up to two films to watch that evening. Our collective favorites were PUMPKINHEAD, THE SHINING and PET SEMETARY.

She'd help me with my homework, permit me to stay up late, and warm me if my parents were to arrive home early from wherever they'd ventured off to, earlier that evening. Perhaps the best part about Tracy was that she never invited her rambunctious friends over, not did she try to murder me in my sleep. And after watching this new trailer for McG's THE BABYSITTER, I'm certain that the young man featured in the film wishes that he'd had his own Tracy, instead of Allsion (Bella Thorne), the vengeful murderess that's come to tuck him in …forever!

Directed and produced by McG, with a script penned by Brian Duffield, THE BABYSITTER focuses on the events of one evening where things take an unexpected turn for the worst for a young boy trying to spy on his babysitter. Starring Bella Thorne, Hana Mae Lee, Leslie Bibb, Robbie Amell, Samara Weaving, Emily Alyn Lind, Andrew Bachelor, Juda Lewis and Doug Haley, THE BABYSITTER looks to be a schlocky slasher flick with plenty or sexy scenario's that would send a pre-pubesent boy's heart into overdrive.

Yup, I'm totally game for this. I like the setup, and after watching LITTLE EVIL (which is far better than it ever had any right to be), I'm down for more over-the-top horror hijinks this Halloween season.

THE BABYSITTER will be keeping watch over Netflix beginning on October 13th. For those of you keeping score at home, that's a Friday (the 13th). Yet another delightful aspect of this potentially very funny film.
