Alright, no one ‘round these parts is dying for McG news – but I think it’s in my contract (imaginary, but a contract nonetheless) that I must cover all movies with “Monster” in the title – especially when Stan Winston is involved – so here goes.
Bloody Disgusting is reporting that McG, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Stan Winston Productions are all coming together to bring forth ME AND MY MONSTER (and it’s not the John Holmes story). Written by Matthew Huffman and Dan Milano (better known as “Greg the Bunny”), the flick is about a young boy who meets a bizarre creature that changes the course of his life. Uh, yeah, if I met a bizarre creature, I bet my boring-ass life would be considerably f*cking altered too. It’s a creature, fer cryin’ out loud!
BD also says that Jake Gyllenhaal was at one point attached, but they don’t know if he’s still in. Was he meant to play the kid? Cuz if that’s the case, this movie’s been in development for about 12 frickin’ years!
