McG's upcoming suburban thriller THE BABYSITTER has been reassigned to a different home. Although the film was originally developed for New Line Cinema, it has been sold and picked up by Netflix. Although there is still no official release date set, this sale means the film will come much sooner. A major reason New Line sold off the project is that their schedule is mighty cramped for the next year or so.

Scripted by Brian Duffield, THE BABYSITTER

follows a young boy and his babysitter on a night where things go very wrong, with the boy learning a few lessons about life, love and murder along the way.

THE BABYSITTER stars Samara Weaving (as the titular babysitter), Judah Lewis, Robbie Amell, Andrew "KingBach" Bachelor, Hana Mae Lee, Bella Thorne, and Emily Alyn Lind.

The project was financed by Boies/Schiller and Wonderland Sound and Vision.
