Here at AITH we love zombies. That should come as no surprise. Generally we also love anything and everything medieval. So when there is a project heading our way that combines the two, you can damn well bet we’re going to tell you all about it!

I’m talking about an adaptation of the Paul Finch novel STRONGHOLD, which is coming at us in a partnership between Amber Entertainment and British comic book house 2000 AD and it’s Rebellion Publishing arm. Jason Kingsley has already been tapped with directing the feature from a script by Tom Fickling. Want the rundown on this little diddy? Of course you do!

“Stronghold” centers on Welsh rebels utilizing druidic magic to summon an undead army to aid them in their quest to overthrow English tyranny. Hero of the story is a young knight who defies his masters to rescue the daughter of his enemy while battling legions of revenge-driven dead.

The only other thing we know about the project is that Kingsley and company are hoping to start production sometime next year. And that’s all she wrote…

So what do you guys think? Not a whole lot of details but just enough to get you excited about STRONGHOLD? Or not… Hit us with your thoughts on the project below and be sure to keep it here for more on STRONGHOLD as we hear it!
