Michael Douglas confirms his return for Ant-Man and The Wasp

Michael Douglas Ant-Man and The Wasp

Although it's not exactly a big surprise that Michael Douglas will be returning for ANT-MAN AND THE WASP, it was never actually a sure thing that the actor would return. While Marvel's contracts with talent usually span multiple movies, Douglas had only signed on for just the one. Thankfully, Dr. Hank Pym will be back for the ANT-MAN sequel as Michael Douglas confirmed the news himself on Facebook with the following photo.

In a caption, Michael Douglas stated that he was "getting ready to play Dr. Pym again in Ant-Man 2 shooting in July. Need to start growing the goatee now." Both Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly will naturally be returning as well, as will ANT-MAN scene-stealer Michael Pena. Douglas seemed to be testing the superhero waters with his appearance in ANT-MAN, but thankfully he had a great time with the film and is eager to return for more, but he does hope that he "won’t have to carry quite as much expositional dialogue as the first one."

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP is currently set for a July 6, 2018 release.
