MIDNIGHT MAN, which I last wrote about HERE, has finally gotten underway in Shreveport, LA, with Marcus Dunstan (co-writer of FEAST and SAW IV) at the helm.
Of course, it helps that they have a star now – or at least, someone in the starring role. Josh Stewart, a vet of t.v. shows like DIRT and THIRD WATCH, has been cast as the lead in the SAW-esque flick. Here’s the lowdown: Desperate to repay his debt to his ex-wife, an ex-con plots a heist at his new employer’s country home, unaware that a second criminal has also targeted the property, and rigged it with a series of deadly traps.
Dread Central is also saying that Juan Fernandez, who has a ton of credits – none of which are really worth mentioning – has been cast as the “second criminal.” If both of these scoops turn out to be true, it looks as though this may be a straight-to-DVD release… Then again, the SAW flicks aren’t exactly about the star-power, are they?
