With Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse finally hitting theaters in just a few days, audiences will be thrust back into the world of Miles Morales. However, we could soon be meeting Miles Morales in the flesh, so to speak, as Spider-Verse producer Amy Pascal told Variety that a live-action Miles Morales movie is in the works.

In addition to a live-action Miles Morales movie, Amy Pascal also teased that a Spider-Woman movie is in development as well. “You’ll see all of it,” Pascal said. “It’s all happening.Across the Spider-Verse producer Avi Arad teased that we’ll actually see the Spider-Woman movie “sooner than you expect. I cannot tell you yet, but it’s coming.

Now, who should play Miles Morales when he makes the leap to live-action? Shameik Moore, who voices the character in the animated movies, has repeatedly expressed a desire to play the live-action Miles as well. “Absolutely,” Moore told Entertainment Tonight last month. “I would just be humbled to be able to take on that… I would put my entire spirit into that opportunity.” At 28, Moore may seem a little too old to play the teenage character, but don’t forget that Tobey Maguire was 26 when he started playing Spider-Man and Andrew Garfield was 27 when he took on the role. Tom Holland is our youngest Spider-Man, as he was just 18 when he first played the character in Captain America: Civil War.

Amy Pascal also dropped an update on the fourth Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland. “Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are,” she said. “We’re in the process, but the writers strike, nobody is working during the strike. We’re all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we’ll get started.

The official synopsis for Across the Spider-Verse reads: “Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will hit theaters on June 2nd.
