While we recently reported the sequel to TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D was a sure thing, it has been confirmed Millenium films is fast tracking the production. Shooting on TEXAS CHAINSAW 4 is expected to begin in Louisiana later this year.

Returning for TEXAS CHAINSAW 4 will be Carl Mazzocone, who is expected to serve as lead producer. Mark Burg, Avi Lerner, Tobe Hooper, Trevor Short, John Thompson, Danny Dimbort, Lati Grobman and Christa Campbell are all returning in the capacity of executive producers. In fact, Millenium films chair Avi Lerner is reportedly crediting Campbell and Grobman with a great deal of TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D’s success, saying “Lati and Christa brought the idea of this franchise to us. They were certain of the audience appeal, so we signed on, and it turns out they were right.” Lerner calls the move “a bloody good decision” and has expressed hopes for Millenium to partner with Lionsgate again in distributing TEXAS CHAINSAW 4.

No other talent has yet been attached to the film, so stay tuned as TEXAS CHAINSAW 4 (I hope that’s a working title) develops. As always, feel free to talkback with your thoughts on the new film and its proposed sequel below.
