Empire Online had the chance to talk with Frank Miller today, the guy behind the comic and the movie adaptation of SIN CITY. Apparently he’s just finished the script for SIN CITY 2, and can’t wait to go at it again!
As 2005 is ending, I can honestly look back at the year in film and say that SIN CITY was my favorite- no question, no doubt, no contest! The visuals, the charactors, Mickey Rourke kickin’ ass, and Jessica Alba being hot! What else can you ask for?
So the fact that CITY 2 is going to happen, and the process has already started, means I can’t even wait for the sequel. But what’s this? Check what Miller had to say about sequels:
If I have my way, there’s going to be five [films] – but that’s if I have my way! Five would take care of all the graphic novels – but there’s new material that I’m writing for the second one. There’ll probably also be a separate graphic novel that I’ll do. It’s a Nancy Callahan story that I’ve been wanting to do.
Five films! Frank, you just made my decade! How frickin’ cool would that be? Of course, the same creative minds would have to be apart of each and every film for it to kick so much ass, but still- 5 more films of one of the greatest graphic novels on the silver screen. Color me red!
