Minor Predators update

Yesterday the bomb was dropped that Nimrod Antal will be directing the upcoming PREDATORS movie (if you missed it, check that shit HERE). The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news today, and dropped a few other interesting tidbits on the project.

Like what? Like what this installment will be about… sorta. In this version, a group of humans will find themselves stranded on a planet home to Predators and must survive the horrors they encounter. James Cameron pulled a similar move with his advancement of the “Alien” franchise in his “Aliens.”

So it’s like ALIENS, but with Predators? I can totally get on board that shite. I love me some ALIENS… if PREDATORS lives up to half the awesomeness of that flick, we’re in for a good time.

The other info-drop from THR is the release date. Last we heard it was scheduled for July 9, 2010. However, the reports coming from Troublemaker Studios have PREDATORS hitting theaters July 7, 2010… two days earlier than previously expected! Why? Because after the monster hit of TRANSFORMERS 2, Wednesday is the new Friday, yo! A total guess there, but hey… it makes sense!

So now it’s on. We’re 1 year out till PREDATORS hits theaters. Bring it on, Nimrod!!!!
