Missy now Reaper

The Hollywood Reporter announced this morning that Missy Peregrym, the hottie formerly in NBC’s HEROES as Linderman’s sexy shapeshifter, has just been cast in the new show called REAPER, for the new CW.

Tell me if you’ve heard this one before: a 21 year old slacker becomes a bounty hunter for the devil. Sound familiar? I could’ve sworn GHOST RIDER was essentially the same thing (at least, the P.O.S. movie was). Oh well, could be cool- if nothing else, it’ll be flashy and star a bunch of young, good looking folks who may be big stars one day… oh, and did I mention it’s produced by Kevin Smith? Cause it is. So maybe there’s hope for it yet.

Peregrym plays the crush of the lead character (Brett Harrison), replacing the previously cast Nikki Reed (below), who played the same role in the pilot episode (that one, directed by Smith himself). No word on when the show is set to air, but I’m guessing it’ll be apart of the CW’s new fall line up. We shall see.
