Mist goes F/X

Frank Darabont and Stephen King together equals one winning combination, so it’s no surprise that Darabont’s latest King adaptation THE MIST is gearing up to be one of my more anticipated films in production right now. With Thomas Jane already on board, and the short story one kick ass ride, how could you not be excited for it???

Fangoria scored some interesting news today, that of the announcement of who’s doing the effects on the film. And the winner is.. KNB EFX! They’ll be handling the ‘real’ creature effects on the film, which is gearing up to begin principal photography on February 20th.

And as the film has to have some CGI in it, to create all that mist and them damn monsters within it, it looks like Café FX will be doing the dirty deed of bringing it all to life. Since they rocked it with SIN CITY, there’s no doubt in my mind these are the dudes to bring it all together- and have it actually look halfway decent.
