Monster Republic by Ben Horton being made into a feature film

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Komixx Entertainment has acquired the rights to Ben Horton’s three-part book series MONSTER REPUBLIC, reports Screen Daily. Miles Chapman, the co-writer of the Sly Stallone action thriller ESCAPE PLAN, has been tapped to pen the screenplay.

Here’s the book’s synopsis:

Dr Lazarus Fry is hellbent on world domination and engineers an explosion in a nuclear power plant, patching the victims up with scavenged body parts and creating an army of superhuman soldiers programmed for destruction. But Cameron Reilly escapes, and joins forces with a band of rebel kids to seek revenge on Fry.

This concept has potential, as long as it doesn’t end up resembling I, FRANKENSTEIN.
