To quote our evil step fadda JoBlo, When will the madness end?!?!! The madness in question? The fact that Uwe Boll’s BLOODRAYNE sequel (cleverly titled BLOODRAYNE 2) is still on the fast track to being made. Today it was announced the film landed two more cast members, though the ensemble isn’t nearly as fantastic as the original’s.
Zack Ward(pictured) and Michael Pare have both signed up to star in BLOODRAYNE 2, but wait, it gets better… Ward will be playing Billy the Kid, and Pare will be playing the Kid’s arch nemesis Pat Garrett, because (as you remember) this one is set in the wicky-wicky Wild, Wild West. I shit you not, the flick is gonna star classic western characters! Yep, just when you thought it couldn’t get any weirder, this happens.
Bloodrayne’s being played by Natassia Malthe (below) this time around, who is undeniably hot, but is no Kristina Loken. Other cast members include Chris Coppola, Brendan Fletcher , Michael Eklund and Chris Spencer. Doesn’t really have the same ring that Ben Kingsley, Michelle Rodriguez, Michael Madsen, Billy Zane and Meatloaf had, but the fact that they were able to land anybody for this flick is a triumph.
BLOODRAYNE 2 is currently filming in Vancouver, BC, so it’s only a matter of time before it’s completed and we get to really so what Boll is made of. Do I smell greatness? No. Actually, I think I smell poop… as in, I think I pooped my pants.
