Gearing up to shoot in Pittsburgh this summer, Chris Nolan continues to bolster the cast of the wildly anticipated THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Just last week we heard Matthew Modine, Tom Conti and Jay King had been added to the impressive cast, and now it seems another pair of veteran character actors are set to join in on the fun.

According to Variety, Brett Cullen and Chris Ellis have gotten the casting call on THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Word is Cullen will play a judge and Ellis will play a priest. Other than that, not much else is known.

Cullen you may have seen on TV, as he’s done work on everything from “The West Wing,” “Friday Night Lights,” “Lost,” “Damages,” to most recently “Make It Or Break It.” He also appeared in APOLLO 13, as did Chris Ellis.

Ellis (pictured above) has over 100 big and small screen credits going back to 1979. As far as gene work goes, dude has appeared in GODZILLA, ARMAGEDDON, PLANET OF THE APES, TRANSFORMERS and THE ISLAND.

No doubt poised to shatter box-office records on July 20th, 2012 – THE DARK KNIGHT RISES also stars Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard (below), Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Daniel Sunjata, Diego Klattenhoff and Burn Gorman.
