Just yesterday Ammon gave you the news that THE LODGER had scored Simon Baker, and promised you that we’d update you as soon as more info came in. Well I’m here to confirm that he’s not the dirty stinking liar everyone makes him out to be with some more LODGER casting!

Among the others revealed to be in the remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s thriller are Shane West (pictured, looking every bit the boy band reject), Rebecca Pidgeon (David Mamet’s annoying wife), Philip Baker Hall (Magnolia, Hard Eight), Mel Harris (Thirtysomething) and Rachel Leigh Cook (below, looking every bit the girl I never got to date in high school).

The story involves a detective named Chandler Manning who is engaged in a complex cat-and-mouse game with a maniacal killer who begins emulating the 100-year old murders of Jack The Ripper along Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. Alfred Molina plays Manning and West is playing the role of Manning’s rookie partner, Street Wilkenson.

Chandler Manning? Street Wilkenson? Okay, they need a rewrite. Strike or no strike, no one will mind if those ridiculous names are tossed into the trash.

Now I shall make the solemn oath that more LODGER news will come in as soon as we get it.
