Things are finally starting to roll with J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg’s super-secret collaborative project SUPER 8! Can you sense our excitement? On Friday we got word on the first casting news for the flick and not 24 hours ago we got a look at some early set shots. Hell yeah things are finally rolling!
So what’s today’s juicy update? Well thanks to the guys over at The Hollywood Reporter’s Risky Business blog we’ve got the rest of the cast for the sci-fi feature all dealt out. Joining the previously announced Kyle Chandler and Elle Fanning in the highly anticipated project will be Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Gabriel Basso, Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths, Ryan Lee and Zach Mills! Now while most of those names are relative unknowns I’m sure you guys have seen Noah Emmerich (above) around. He’s that guy that always plays the friend but ends up being a bad guy… He does that shite well! You may also recognize Zach Mills, who happens to be the little dude that starred opposite Dustin Hoffman and Natalie Portman in MR. MAGORIUM’S WONDER EMPORIUM. As far as the rest of the names go… your guess is as good as mine.
The only other details we know about SUPER 8 is that it’s currently filming in West Virginia with plans on a Summer 2011 release date. As always as soon as we hear more on the J.J. Abrams directed project we’ll be sure to pass it along to all of you!
