It’s a cryin’ shame it’s even happening, but SCARY MOVIE 4 is currently filming in Vancouver, and Entertainment Tonight was, er, lucky enough to visit the set, in which we get a glimpse at the flick’s opening ‘spoof’ sequence.

The start the flick off by spoofing SAW, and – get this – the two chained to the dirty bathroom are Dr. Phil and SHAQ! Yeah- what the hell?! I had to do a double take, but this shit’s for real! Dr. Phil himself even had this to say about the scene:

“It all takes place in this nasty, filthy bathroom [where] Shaq and I are chained up together, and the way out is you’ve got to cut body parts off to get loose, so he and I are wondering which one of us will wind up doing it.”

Right. Kind of like that one scene in SAW. So what’s Dr. Phil’s take on scary movies in general?

“They say you have to have this suspension of disbelief, and I can totally get into a movie and have that. When I am in it, I totally immerse myself in that movie, and the goofier they are, the goofier I get; the scarier they are, the more chicken I am.”

At least he’s man enough to admit it I guess, and at least he’s not one of those head doctors that say horror movies are the root of all evil.

So what does this do about my view of SCARY MOVIE 4? Well… at least SCARY MOVIE 3 opened with hotties Jenny McCarthy and Pamela Anderson…. and this one opens with these guys… and SCARY MOVIE 3 sucked….. but at least we had acouple of nice racks to keep our minds off it…. and all we have with 4 are these guys… hmmmm…
