We’ve sure been talking up a great deal on the tropics-themed horror VINYAN lately. My man Eric gave you all the flick’s trailer here and I offered up some cool info here. I’m guessing that VINYAN is starting to make quite on impact on the genre community. From the looks of all those new, f-ed up stills, I can see why. A little ways back, there was no set U.S. release date, but as of now at least 2009 is being listed. When in 2009 is still another question. No matter, I think it’ll happen soon. Have a look once again at the plot:
Still not having accepted the loss of their son to the 2004 Tsunami disaster, Jeanne and Paul Bellmer have remained in Thailand, hanging on the fact that his body has never been discovered and he may still be alive. Jeanne is convinced that traffickers have kidnapped him in the confusion that followed the catastrophe, so the couple bribe a mysterious “Mr. Gao” to take them on a boat ride to the pirate-infested coast on the Burmese border. What they discover is beyond their imagination, as they come across a mysterious village on a secluded island and encounter strange children.
