This week sees the release of JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK, the sequel to 2012's JACK REACHER, starring Tom Cruise, Rosamund Pike, Werner Herzog, and Jai Courtney. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie and based on the series of books by Lee Child, Reacher is a kind of hard-boiled badass (albeit a very different-looking one than Cruise in the books) who kind of roams around and kicks the shit out of bad guys like a modern-day cowboy. It's a fun flick and very much a throwback to the kind of heroes we commonly saw in old-school '90's action flicks.
