Emilia Clarke is in a very eerie scenario in Voices from the Stone images

Period-style horror movies are the reliable ol’ work horse of the film world. The eerie locales and cold atmosphere are good for at least some chills, while the costumes and production design always make it seem like you’re watching something fancy. VOICES FROM THE STONE, the newest entry in the genre starring Emilia Clarke, looks like it will take all of that in stride. Some new images from the movie have dropped, putting Clarke front and center, and clearly she has NO IDEA what she's getting into.

Check them all out!

Here is the goosebump-y synopisis:

A haunting thriller set in an isolated castle in 1950s Tuscany, Voice From the Stone tells the story of Verena, a determined young nurse who is hired to help the mute young heir within.  But the more she observes the him, the more Verena becomes convinced he has fallen under the spell of a powerful and otherworldly persona trapped in the villa’s stone walls, one that seems to be rapidly entwining with her own.

The images look a little ominous in spots, which is always good for a movie like this. It’s hard to grasp how the movie will really look until the trailer drops and we can get a sense of the style. So far, though, the images look like the movie will stay in line with the genre, which may or may not be your cup of tea. All I know is that I love Emilia Clarke on GAME OF THRONES, and I’m sure she’ll be great in the HAN SOLO movie. If not, then at least we know she looks good in period garb, so at least she has that to fall back on.

VOICES FROM THE STONE premieres On Demand and Digital HD April 28.
