First clip of Insidious from Saw’s James Wan

Unlike most other people involved in the franchise, original SAW director James Wan has moved on from the franchise and is trying to go down new avenues of horror. Teaming with the producers of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, his next project is INSIDIOUS. What’s it all about?

When proud parents take possession of an old house, an accident results in one of their sons falling into a coma. The tragedy doesn’t stop there when they are beset by vengeful spirits from another realm in this new chiller by the director and writer of Saw and by the producers of Paranormal Activity. The film stars Rose Byrne, Barbara Hershey and Patrick Wilson.”

The first clip from the film has been released below, and shows an old (presumably psychic) woman describing the demon haunting the little boy. In the end we get a sketch of the thing, which looks thoroughly evil, at least in 2D form. Check it out below.
