Earlier this month, we brought you the first image from Seth Rogen‘s SAUSAGE PARTY, and now the first trailer has been released for the R-rated animated comedy. The red-band trailer starts off kid-friendly enough, with a woman picking up some groceries at a supermarket, but it takes a dark (albeit hilarious) turn once the food discovers the true meaning of their existence.
Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan directed the animated tale from a script by Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and it also features the voice talents of Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, James Franco, Edward Norton, Paul Rudd, Bill Hader, Salma Hayek, Michael Cera and Danny McBride. A work-in-progress cut of the upcoming film premiered last night at SXSW 2016, and it seems most people had a blast with the raunchy Pixar-esque movie.
