Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 logo revealed as production begins

Production has officially kicked off for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2! James Gunn announced the news yesterday by posting a picture on Facebook of his director's chair, and captioned it with "To quote the great poet David Coverdale, Here I Go Again." The photo also provides us with the first look at the logo for the follow-up.

So what can we expect from the sequel? Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper will be back as the "bunch of a-holes," and Michael Rooker and Karen Gillan will also reprise their roles from the first movie as (respectively) Yondu and Nebula. As for new cast members, the only one who has been officially announced is OLDBOY actress Pom Klementieff, who has been tapped to play Mantis.

Gunn's favorite superhero will appear in GOTG 2 (which may also feature a huge Marvel character), and last year the director said it will be a tale about fathers with a better soundtrack. How excited are you for the Phase 3 Marvel film?

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 is scheduled to open on May 5, 2017.
