Henry Cavill may take Tom Cruise’s place in The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Recently, Tom Cruise had to leave one of the leading roles in Guy Ritchie’s THE MAN OF U.N.C.L.E. But it seems that Warner Bros. has already found a suitable replacement.

After working with him on MAN OF STEEL, the studio has entered into talks with Henry Cavill. If everything goes well, then the new Superman will star opposite Armie Hammer. Honestly, I was looking forward to seeing Cruise and Hammer (sounds like a detergent) together in the film, but Cavill is a great choice.

Funny enough, Cavill actually auditioned for Hammer’s role when Cruise was still attached. Apparently the studio had also been looking at Cavill to star beside Chris Hemsworth in, IN THE HEART OF THE SEA.

The film will follow the, “1960s TV series which followed two agents of the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement as they fought the evil agents of Thrush.” Production will start this Fall.
