Jim Carrey, Keanu Reeves & more join cannibal love story The Bad Batch

The Bad Batch Ana Lily Amirpour Jim Carrey Keanu Reeves Jason Momoa

VICE and Megan Ellison's Annapurna Pictures have announced the main cast for a very awesome sounding new movie from A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT director Ana Lily Amirpour. Jim Carrey, Keanu Reeves and Jason Momoa are set to star as The Hermit, The Dream and Miami Man (respectively) in THE BAD BATCH, "a post-apocalyptic cannibal love story" set in Texas.

Suki Waterhouse (INSERGENT, PUSHER) has also joined the cast as Arlen, and ELYSIUM star Diego Luna is playing a character named Jimmy.

Last year Ana Lily Amirpour said THE BAD BATCH will follow a muscled cannibal (I'm assuming Momoa) who breaks the "don't play with your food" rule, and described the film as "Road Warrior meets Pretty in Pink with a dope soundtrack." She also said "It's going to be really weird and romantic and also very violent," kind of like "if El Topo and Dirty Dancing had a baby." Filming will begin next month, and Annapurna Pictures' plan is to sell the movie at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

I haven't had a chance to check out Amirpour's A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT yet, but I've heard fantastic things about her "Iranian vampire Western," and the director has quite the impressive cast on board for her new film. What's your favorite cannibal movie?
