J.J. Abrams responds to leaked Star Wars photos with one of his own!

The past few days have seen a ton of leaked photos in the way of what appears to be a small spaceport or town on Tatooine, as well as a pig-a-thing (trademarked, yo) and the Millennium freaking Falcon.  It’s the nature of the movie business that this happens on large-scale films, especially those being kept under wraps, and Disney/Lucasfilm have a whole team of people who’s job it is to NOT let this happen.  It’s not often the director responds directly to leaks, but J.J. Abrams has done just that.

Check it out:

Well there ya have it! Straight from the space-horse’s mouth! I suppose the leaked pictures were fake, as the note sitting on the Falcon’s holochess board clearly states that the notion of the Millennium Falcon in this movie is ridiculous. Wait a minute . . .

In all seriousness, it’s super cool to see J.J. Abrams actually have a sense of humor. Props to you, good sir! At least going forward, I’ll think twice before posting any leaked pictures. What? I didn’t say I WOULDN’T post them. Just that I’d think twice.

STAR WARS: EPISODE VII is currently NOT filming on the Millennium Falcon, in preparation for a December 18, 2015 release.
