Joe and Anthony Russo will return for Captain America 3

Towards the end of January, Variety reported that CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLIDER directors Joe and Anthony Russo might be returning. Now according to Collider and their tip from the all-mighty Kevin Feige the duo have been confirmed for the third installment.

Collider followed up with the Russo’s during their interview:

Well now that Kevin [Feige] said it that means we can talk about it, I guess. That’s great. We’re just in the formative stages of it right now. We just started breaking story with [screenwriters Christopher] Markus and [Stephen] McFeely and we’re just getting an idea of what we wanna do with it. It’s crazy working on it before the movie even comes out because you want to see what people respond to in the movie. You want to get some inspiration from what people like about the film so you go, ‘Okay, this is what we gotta lean into in the next movie’ or ‘this is what we should move away from, this didn’t work so well.’ So we’re just in that phase of breaking story but waiting to see how people respond to the movie.

Not sure if you’ve heard the buzz on CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLIDER but some are saying that it’s the best Marvel movie made thus far. If that sounds like a little much, let’s just add that most of the buzz has been positive. I think it’s fair to access that many of us thought the film would be a good one. Unfortunately we don’t get to judge for ourselves until April 4th when the film releases.

Now I’m even more excited.
