Margot Robbie and Will Smith lose Focus in the new trailer for the thriller

If you are able to still focus on my words after gazing at that looping image of Margot Robbie, then you are a stronger man than I. The actress who made our jaws drop in THE WOLF OF WALL STREET looks to be doing it again in FOCUS opposite Will Smith who is finally playing a role that requires him to do more than mug for the camera.

The first trailer for FOCUS showed us that not only does Will Smith still have something in the tank but also that directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa have some skill at more than dark comedy (BAD SANTA) and romantic comedies (CRAZY STUPID LOVE). This new trailer plays up more of the con game aspect of the film and includes a few moments of humor, but this still looks like a very adult movie (yes, it is rated R).

Keep in mind that Will Smith took the part that was originally set for Ryan Gosling. Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck also passed on the role which looks like it could be a nice reboot for Smith. The supporting cast looks great, with B.D. Wong and Rodrigo Santoro looking like good villains. I hope this second great trailer in a row speaks well of the finished product. Plus, who would get tired of staring at Margot Robbie?

FOCUS opens on February 27, 2015.
