Netflix drops the Stranger Things season 3 debut date on New Years Eve

It feels like it's been a long wait since Stranger Things season 2 hit Netflix and while we'll still have to wait a good while before season 3 hits, at least we now have a mark on the wall to look forward to; July 4th, 2019. Netflix revealed the debut date with a new teaser video that aptly fits the New Year, leading the kids from Hawkins, Indiana into 1985 where the new tagline (and accompanying poster) say that "One Summer Can Change Everything". What could that mean for our returning cast that includes Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Mattarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalie Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink? Surely more danger from the upside down and, my best guess, a lot more romance. Also joining the cast this season are Cary Elwes and Jake Busey, who are sure to add some flavor to the proceedings.

Here's the release date teaser:

Check out the poster below, put some fresh batteries in your flashlights, start making your nail bat and leave those Christmas lights hanging, as Season 3 of Stranger Things hits Netflix on July 4th, 2019.
