Paramount possibly planning a post-apocalyptic road trip movie called Monster Problems

File this under “a movie I may be interested in whenever it gears up in the far-ish future,” but Paramount is currently in negotiations for a script called MONSTER PROBLEMS that is being described as “a post-apocalyptic road movie in the vein of Mad Max and Zombieland with a John Hughes-esque love story at its center”

Hey, if screenwriter Brian Duffield has actually managed to those rather disparate elements together, then I say more power to him.  Duffield is also the scribe behind the upcoming JANE GOT A GUN starring Natalie Portman and has a script currently in the works called YOUR BRIDEMAID’S A BITCH that will be directed by Eli Craig (TUCKER AND DALE VS EVIL).

MONSTER PROBLEMS, if picked up, would be produced (and I assume possibly directed) by Shawn Levy (REAL STEEL).  More as we hear it.
