Ralph Fiennes says Sam Mendes’ Bond 24 to start filming in October

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

At this point, we really don't know that much about the 24th Bond film with Sam Mendes directing. Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes and Naomie Harris will be back (although cinematographer Roger Deakins won't be returning) and Craig has said the next film will be a return of the "old irony" from the previous Bond flicks, but other than that, there hasn't been that many details released on BOND 24.

But at least we now know when filming will start. In an interview with MTV News, Ralph Fiennes says shooting should start in October, although like the rest of us, he doesn't know a damn thing about the film itself.

"It's meant to start shooting in October. I haven't read a script yet, so I can't tell you much. They'd probably swear me to secrecy anyway."

The script for the new movie comes from SKYFALL co-writer John Logan, and with the MGM and Danjaq LLC lawsuit finally being settled last year, some have speculated villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld could return for the new movie. Who knows if Blofeld will actually appear in the new movie or not, but personally I think it'd be a great idea. What would you like to see in the next Bond movie?

The 24th Bond movie will open in the U.K. on October 23rd, 2015, and in the U.S. on November 6th, 2015.
