Four score and seven…nevermind. The teaser for Steven Spielberg’s LINCOLN is online and ready for your viewing pleasure. It’s a pretty enticing teaser at that. We’ve seen Daniel Day-Lewis in costume, and now all we need to see is his interpretation on the 16th president. You don’t get that, but do you need it? Everyone here knows he’s going to nail it.

After the teaser plays, we are informed that there will be a live Google+ Hangout with Spielberg and Joseph Gordon-Levitt after the premiere of the full trailer on September 13th at 7PM EDT/ 4PM PDT.

“The story is a revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President’s tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come. The story is based in part on the book Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln by Doris Kearns Goodwin.”

LINCOLN stars Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, David Strathairn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Spader, Hal Holbrook and Tommy Lee Jones and is set to open in limited release on November 9th, then go wide on November 16th.
