After dozens of hours of binge watching we will finally see Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) unite for one show in THE DEFENDER. Not only will this cut down on time spent on the couch covered in junk food, but it will also provide us with the ultimate ass-kicking experience for the ages. Those who weren't sold on the show are probably eating those words now once they saw the team taking turns whipping a hallway of thugs. Sharing is caring, as they say.
The Marvel shows are all solid, with the DAREDEVIL seasons being the standouts. I didn't much like IRON FIST, but now that the character will be sharing the screen with the other three he'll get to shine in much more engaging environment. Sigourney Weaver is looking just as awesome as ever and will probably give the gang a run for their money. The show arrives this fall and based off the trailer I think fans will be getting exactly what they want, with each episode offering something exciting to watch, even if it's just getting to see these classic heroes banter and beat each other up. That's time on the couch well spent.
THE DEFENDERS debuts on Netflix on August 18.
