The Good, The Bad & The Badass: Tom Hanks

A couple of years ago, we used to have this featured called “The Good, The Bad & The Badass”, where each week I profiled some of my favorite “badasses” from both behind and in front of the camera. Folks like Clint Eastwood, Steven Spielberg, Sigourney Weaver – our definition of badass was broad.

Flash-forward to now- and the series is back – revised and updated- video style! For our latest installment we take a look at the career of comedic actor turned dramatic Oscar winner Tom Hanks! Hanks won our hearts early on with his TV work in Bosom Buddies then made a splash with Splash!, sending him toward superstardom with films like Big, A League of their Own, The Money Pit, The 'Burbs and then taking home an Oscar for his dramatic turn in Philadelphia and then again for Forrest Gump. Since then, Hanks has been a National Treasure, giving us gems like Apollo 13, Saving Private Ryan, The Toy Story Series, Cast Away, The Da Vinci Code, Catch Me If You Can, Captain Phillips, Bridge of Spies, Sully and his latest, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.

He's not only the nicest guy in Hollywood, but one that's left one hell of a legacy to boot! Join us as we take a look at this marvelous career!
