If I’ve learned anything from Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures, it’s that they’ll put out anything. Seriously. I just watched a slew of trailers for upcoming direct-to-DVD flicks they’re releasing, and they all look godawful. Even worse than the movies they put out in theaters, and that’s bad.

One movie that managed to make it to the big screen was the completely unremarkable THE MESSENGERS, which must’ve made more than 3 cents because it’s getting a DVD sequel. ShockTillYouDrop has learned who will be twiddling their thumbs on screen for director Martin Barnewitz, as well as where and why they’ll be looking so bored.

Norman Reedus (pictured right), Claire Holt, Richard Riehle, Matthew McNulty, Heather Stephens, Darcy Flowers and Kalina Green.

So what’s it about? Reedus plays John Rollins, a North Dakota farmer facing some hardships with his family. When he places a mysterious scarecrow in his field his luck changes for the better…but it may be at the cost of his sanity.

Pretty damn exciting, no? Hey! Wake up!

THE MESSENGERS’ lack of appeal certainly wasn’t helped by Kristen Stewart’s inability to make more than one facial expression…
