Bombastic blockbuster director Rob Cohen has been updating the blog for his upcoming film, the threequel THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR, with surprising frequency and if it wasn’t for our snatch-obsessed colleagues over at MovieHotties, we would have not only been blissfully unaware of this fact but also that he’s posted the first stills of the film, one of which shows us Maria Bello taking up where Rachel Weisz left off as the spunky and adorably clumsy Evie O’Connell.
In this third go-round of inadvertent mummy resurrection, the O’Connell’s, headed, of course, by Brendan Fraser’s Rick O’Connell and newbie Luke Ford as the grown-up Alex O’Connell revive the first Emperor of Qin (played by Jet Li) who wakes with a serious case of the “fuck you’s” due to a curse placed on him by a wizard (Michelle Yeoh). Qin is set to be unleashed on August 1st of next year. Click on Bello’s hat to see the rest of the pics.
