Must See: Red band trailer for Charismata

Okay, guys, stop what you're doing and give this new trailer a watch.

True be told I don't know much about the flick other than the fact that it is called CHARISMATA (definition: "In Christianity, a spiritual gift or charism (plural: charisms or charismata) is an endowment which may be given by the Holy Spirit.") and that the film stars Sarah Beck Mather, Jamie Satterthwaite, and Andonis Anthony.

That said, the trailer is filled with slick mind-f*ck images and charming bits of banter between the two lead detectives. Seriously, just give it a watch and I'm sure the film will shoot to the (near) top of your must-see list, just like it did with mine.

CHARISMATA synopsis:

Rebecca Faraway fears she might be out of her depth.

As a rookie detective struggling to find acceptance in a police department defined by a culture of bullying and intolerance, things go from bad to worse when the chief suspect in a series of brutal ritualistic murders takes a personal interest in her. A game of cat and mouse ensues which sees Rebecca's grasp on reality begins to spiral out of control, leading to a terrifying climax where she needs to fight for her sanity, her life and maybe even her soul.

Set in a bleak and cynical post-2016 London, Charismata combines a tense, fast moving police thriller reminiscent of Fincher's "Se7en" with a nightmarish, paranoia-infused psychological horror story which tips its hat to Polanski's classic Apartment Trilogy: "Repulsion", "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Tenant".

CHARISMATA is written & directed by Andy Collier & Toor Mian and stars Sarah Beck Mather, Jamie Satterthwaite, and Andonis Anthony.
