Na ready to Murder

Variety is reporting that Korean director Na Hong-jin is set to direct his second feature film THE MURDERER, which is rockiin’ one of the more interesting premises that I’ve heard in a long time.

Essentially, THE MURDERER is about a man forced to become a murderer to overcome starvation. And I don’t think we’re talking vampire-ism either. Cannibalism? Maybe… mum’s the word on the specific details of this flick; however, it has been reported that Hong-jin spent years and years crafting the screenplay into a perfectly harmonious work of art. Or at least, so they say.

Hong-jin’s first film, THE CHASER, did so well as the Korean box office that Warner Bros. has already snatched it up for a remake (it’s a detective turned pimp story).

Remember when I said it took him years perfecting the script? Apparently he’s still at it, and plans to have it finished by the end of the month, in which casting and other budget-focused decisions can be made. Can’t wait to see what this MURDERER has up his sleaves!
