Nala Films picked up a new horror-thriller today entitled OPEN GRAVE, and while it’s being made by a couple of unknown brothers (Eddie and Chris Borey), I must say the premise has be intrigued and excited as all get-out!
Check out this premise: The story centers on a man who wakes up in a remote wilderness with no memory in a pit full of dead bodies and must determine if the murderer is one of the strangers who rescued him, or if he himself is the killer.
Nice! While this concept isn’t new (waking up next to a dead body with no memory of how or why, and questioning whether or not your guilty of murder), the spin of a is pretty sweet- and somehow fresh. Though in a time where remaking classics is becoming the status quo, anything that’s a remake seems to have way more credibility and originality than any other time before. Basically, the fact that it’s a new horror flick makes it that much cooler.
Production is set to start sometime mid-2007, with a release date probably early 2008. Keep it here for more info and updates on OPEN GRAVE as we hear it, and let’s show them original horror movies as much love as possible!
