Magnum P.I. moves to fall on NBC as the network revises scheduling due to the ongoing strike

NBC is adjusting its fall schedule now that the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strike is underway. The network still has plenty of original scripted dramas occupying its revised fall schedule, with the second half of Season 5 of Magnum P.I. leading the charge. Initially, Magnum P.I.  was supposed to return midseason. However, the crime drama is moving to Wednesday nights, joined by Quantum Leap, the new series FoundThe Irrational, and the Canadian medical drama Transplant.

Previously, we reported that ABC’s plans to lean on reality TV are changing the network’s approach to its fall schedule. Meanwhile, CBS is going hard in the paint with competition series and the addition of shows like Yellowstone. Fox is making fewer adjustments as the network sticks to non-scripted and animated entertainment.

According to DeadlineMagnum P.I. ends with Season 5. The crime drama has ten episodes in the can, with episodes of Quantum Leap ready to roll. The Shanola Hampton-fronted show Found debuts with a 13-episode season. The same goes for The Irrational, starring Jesse L. Martin. Found is a missing person drama about a crisis management team that only stops once the job is complete. As for The Irrational, the thriller focuses on a master of human behavior who finally meets his match. The Irrational will launch on Monday, September 25, at 10 pm.

The Voice is moving to Thursdays between 8 pm-10 pm, followed by Found. The pairing replaces the network’s comedy block featuring Night Court and Extended Family, both suffering setbacks because of the strike.
