Neill Blomkamp Alien 5

Neill Blomkamp instantly grabbed the attention of ALIEN fans early last year when he posted some concept art for an unofficial ALIEN sequel he was working on. 20th Century Fox took notice as well and wound up giving the project the official go-ahead and hiring Blomkamp to direct. It seemed like a dream come true to the CHAPPIE director but unfortunately Ridley Scott's ALIEN: COVENANT took precedence and Blomkamp's project was soon put on hold.

Although the ALIEN sequel is still alive, Sigourney Weaver in particular seems quite excited by it, Neill Blomkamp is moving forward with a new project, which he teased in a photo posted on Instagram.

Working on new things. Currently not alien

It's hard to make any conclusions based on this photo but I always show an interest in whatever Blomkamp is working on, I may not have loved every film he's made but the man does know how to design the hell out of a movie. Are we looking at a mutant of some sort? A monster? What type of film do you hope Neill Blomkamp is working on?
