Neill Blomkamp’s Chappie releases first poster, check it out here!

Neill Blomkamp's third feature film, CHAPPIE, hits theaters early next year, and today Sony has issued the first official teaser poster for the flick. It's a curious look at the titular character, a sentient robot.

Here's the film's strange synopsis:

After being kidnapped by two criminals during birth, Chappie becomes the adopted son in a strange and dysfunctional family. Chappie is preternaturally gifted, one of a kind, a prodigy. He also happens to be a robot.

Blomkamp penned the screenplay with his DISTRICT 9 co-writer, Terri Tatchell. The cast includes Hugh Jackman, Sigourney Weaver, Sharlto Copley, Ninja, Dev Patel and Yo-Landi Visser. The film will be released on March 6, 2015.
