I'm always excited when a script from the Black List (the list of Hollywood's best unproduced scripts) goes into production, but especially in the case of HOW IT ENDS, an apocalyptic road thriller from Brooks McClaren. It sounds like a mighty fun idea, and I'm pleased to announce that Netflix has picked up the project from Sierra Pictures. They now have worldwide distribution rights for the flick, which will begin production in the second quarter of 2017.

Here's the synopsis:

When a mysterious apocalyptic event turns the roads into mayhem, a young father will stop at nothing to get home to his pregnant wife on the other side of the country.

HOW IT ENDS will be directed by David M. Rosenthal (THE PERFECT GUY).
