Netflix releases teaser for animated series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness

While a live-action Resident Evil television series continues to move forward at Netflix, the streaming service has revealed that they have another Resident Evil show in the works, this one a CG animated series called Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. Netflix even unveiled a teaser for the series, and that can be seen embedded above.

According to reports out of the Tokyo Game Show event, where Infinite Darkness was announced, the series centers on Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy, and will

“add suspense into dynamic action scenes” to “reveal a Resident Evil world unlike anything seen before.”

TMS Entertainment is producing the show, with Capcom's Hiroyuki Kobayashi serving as executive producer and Quebico handling the animation.

The Resident Evil-inspired film franchise headed up by Paul W.S. Anderson is over, but there's still a lot more Resident Evil entertainment to look forward to.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will reach Netflix sometime in 2021.
