The rivalry burns on
Nemesis is a brand new crime drama (with some amazing action) written by Courtney A. Kemp (best known for the Power Universe) and dropped all eight episodes of its first season on Netflix weeks ago. If you’re a fan of New Jack City, Point Break, and Training Day, you will enjoy this series. The show follows Detective Isaiah Stiles at the LAPD, obsessed with taking down career criminal Coltrane Wilder, who is not only a master robber but also maintains a positive public persona. The series goes back and forth between the two, with them basically one-upping each other, but in the process, both sides suffer consequences in their personal lives.
Reactions to the first season have been positive, and Netflix has now announced that the series is coming back for a season 2. Showrunner/Creator/Executive Producer, Courtney A. Kemp recently made a statement on the news,

Season 1 details
The synopsis for the first season reads,
“Nemesis is the story of two men on either side of the law, the tale of what happens when an unstoppable force (an expert criminal) meets an immovable object (a brilliant police detective). What starts as a crime series amped with thrilling life-or-death stakes and explosive action drives deeper to explore family, marriage, and personal identity— that which drives us, sustains us, and ultimately destroys us.”
The cast includes Matthew Law, Y’lan Noel, Cleopatra Coleman, Tre Hale, Domenick Lombardozzi, Jonnie Park, Ariana Guerra, Gabrielle Dennis, Michael Potts, Sophina Brown, Cedric Joe and Jeff Pierre. Guest stars included Moe Irvin, Quincy Isaiah, Jay Reeves, Mike O’Malley, Stephanie Sigman, Khalilah Joi, Shane Johnson, Siua Ikale’o, Dawnn Lewis, Mark Feuerstein and Chris Bauer.
Chris Selak and Philipp Barnett are executive producers on the series. The directors of the various episodes include Mario Van Peebles (and also serve as executive producer on those episodes); Millicent Shelton, Rob Hardy and Ruben Garcia.
