Correction: BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP will NOT be released simultaneously with it's theatrical release, according to Netflix. It will hit the streaming service in March 2015.

With all of the news surrounding Netflix making deals for new theatrical releases starring Adam Sandler and the debut of the sequel to CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON, we have an upcoming release from the streaming service almost as big as those. The thriller BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP will make it's theatrical debut this Halloween and the same day will be available on Netflix.

While we are accustomed to seeing lots of smaller films debut on demand day and date as theaters, this is a fairly big film to be getting that treatment. Already having debuted overseas, BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP stars Nicole Kidman, Colin Firth, and Mark Strong and comes from producer Ridley Scott. Those are all pretty big marquee names for a direct to home debut.

BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP follows a similar tone to GONE GIRL in that it follows a married couple dealing with some psychological issues. Based on a best-selling novel, this is a movie that should be worth the price of admission in a theater. It makes you wonder just what else we can expect from Netflix in the coming months.

BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP debuts in theaters and on Netflix on October 31st.
