New Arrowverse trailers for Naomi & Batwoman invade DC FanDome

The DC FanDome global event treated fans of The CW’s Arrowverse to new trailers including season 3 of Batwoman a first look at Ava DuVernay’s adaptation of DC’s Naomi.

Naomi is headed to The CW’s Arrowverse courtesy of Ava DuVernay, based on the comic book series of the same name co-written by Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker and illustrated by Jamal Campbell. In the comics, Naomi McDuffie is also known as Powerhouse and she is the first child born to two metahumans. The evilest of the original 29 metahumans, a criminal who was about to be executed when he got his powers named Zumbado, sought to kill the infant Naomi, so her parents sent her to Earth-0 for her safety, but were killed in battle doing so. The infant ended up in a small Oregon town, where a resident of the town who witnessed her arrival, a man who was actually a Rannian ex-soldier and had taken on the name Greg McDuffie, adopted her. Naomi has a tremendous amount of unknown type of energy inside her body. She can fire powerful energy blasts from her hands. This energy makes her super strong and super durable and allows her to fly. She can also manifest a black and gold costume around her body.

Naomi is set to premiere on The CW in 2022

Batwoman season 3 premiered on October 13 and continues the story of Ryan Wilder, Kate Kane’s (Ruby Rose) replacement as Batwoman who was nicknamed “Batwoman 2.0” by Vesper Fairchild. She is a highly skilled yet undisciplined fighter who spent 18 months in prison after two Crows operatives caught her with the drugs that Angelique Martin had in her possession. While her parole officer Susan Stevens expects her to maintain the conditions of her parole, Ryan was living out of her van with her plant and becomes the new Batwoman after finding the Batsuit in the wreckage of an airplane that Kate was coming in from National City.

Batwoman is currently airing its third season on The CW.
